Terms and Conditions


Our priority is the health and welfare of the dogs in our care and to provide the best possible service for our clients. We aim to give you and your pet the best service we can.

We require all our new clients to fill in a Client Registration Form. Please provide correct and complete information, this is important for the welfare of your dog.  Please alert us to anything we need to know about your pet's behavior, for example nervousness or gets excited easily.

When signing the Client Registration form you are confirming your agreement to these terms and conditions and all the information provided is correct to your knowledge.

 Rest assured we would not divulge your details with any other parties. However, from time to time we may contact you with news, offers and updates. We may also photograph or video your pet and use these images on our website or Facebook page. Please let us know if you do not wish to receive such information or do not want us to use images of your pet.

Please ensure that your pet is fit and healthy when I come for the appointment and all vaccinations are up to date.  Please do not feed your pet 2 hours prior to their appointment and please ensure they are adequately toileted.

Grooming of sick or elderly pets is entirely at the owner's risk. Grooming may expose underlying skin or health problems that we cannot be held liable for, please contact your Vet for advice.

 If your dog’s coat has some matting they will require extra time to be de-matted which may increase the cost of grooming. Dogs that are severely matted may need to be completely clipped due to the effects on your dog’s welfare. This is a last resort; however in some cases it is the only option as brushing out a badly matted coat is impossible without causing stress and discomfort to your dog.

 If your pet becomes ill whilst in our care we may call a Vet and unless it can be clearly shown that Shiny Happy Dogs are liable, all Vet costs shall be at the owner's expense.

 We retain the right to refuse grooming a pet that presents a risk of injury to themselves or Shiny Happy Dog staff.

 Payments are to be made immediately after the groom, we accept cash and all major credit cards, not cheques. 

 If you are more than 20 minutes late for an appointment, cancel less than 24 hours in advance or fail to turn up you may be liable for a cancellation fee.
